From the website of Padron Cigars, “The Damaso line of cigars is for those who seek the quality and consistancy of padron in a milder taste profile. The cigar was named in honor of Jose O Padron’s Grandfather Damaso, who was the first Padron to arrive in Cuba from the Canary Islands sometime in the 1800’s. ‘Islenos’, or Canary Islanders, were serious people who kept their word and tended to work in farming. In this tradition, the Damason tended to keep their word. In this tradition, Damaso rented a small piece of land in Pinar del Rio and started growing tobacco, giving the Padron family their start in tobacco.”

One of the best cigars I’ve smoked. More on the medium side. Taste was good from first light . Burn was even.

The best cigar for someone who loves an easy draw, sweet and smooth cigar. I don’t usually buy Padron cigars, but this one will make me go back again and again! It’s so light I would recommend it for beginners too, or experienced smokers like me who just love an easy draw, and a sweet, creamy cigar. This is my new favorite!
