Oliva La Fermentada Daily Edition Toro (6×52)
$9.65 – $173.70
The Oliva La Fermentada Daily Edition was created to highlight the expert craft of tobacco fermentation. The Oliva family has been perfecting this art since 1886, and today they’re better at it than just about anyone. La Fermentada features an array of notes that include cedar, almonds, vanilla, baking spices, white pepper, and a vibrant sweetness. Here at Cigars Daily, we’re proud to call this a Daily Edition blend!
On tobacco fermentation: The process of fermenting tobacco is quite a bit different than it is with alcohol. While the spirits industry focuses on converting sugars to alcohol, expert cigar makers, like Oliva, create pilones (2000 lb stacks of tobacco), which naturally heat up to off-gas ammonia and allow flavor characteristics from seed, soil, and sun exposure to shine through in the finished profile. The quality of fermentation is one of the key parts of the cigar making process that sets some brands apart from others. La Fermentada features Oliva’s expertly fermented tobaccos, hand crafted into a complex blend that offers clean brilliant flavor across the palate.

Another excellent blend here guys! Cinnamon on the second third with the primary finish being cedar and just a nice hint of spice on the retro. Didn’t get the vanilla note, but maybe a hint of all spice. Definitely a box worthy blend. Great medium bodied stick. Great job!

WOW! WOW! WOW! I ordered two of these to try and just smoked my first one today (11-29-24). This is a great smoke! But what do I know, I’m still “new” to the cigar world (about 2 months into my new hobby). From light up to finish, I don’t really have any complaints. Had some mild burn issues, but I can’t ding the cigar, I was smoking outside with a 10MPH wind. I picked up on the cedar and spices and almonds at the start. I even picked up a slight vanilla and a “mint” in the final third. Needless to say, I’m about to purchase a whole box of these. Great smoke for the humidor(s)!
