In mid-2007 the idea of the Nub was pitched to the no-nonsense Oliva Family and they were more than sceptical. After having smoked numerous samples the excitement began to grow on them and the line went into production. The idea behind the Nub name was to create a brand of cigars where aficionados could taste the FULL flavor of the blend right from the very first light. They have accomplished that goal, and for more than 10 years Nub has been a mainstay for smokers around the world.

I really enjoyed this Nub. The first one I had and the only reason for 4/5 was I was having some burn issues and had to relight twice. Now in fairness I was smoking it outside on a golf course so the wind could have played the major role here. But I will definitely be giving the Nub Habano another go. As for flavors the notes of roasted coffee and clouds of smoke where amazing. A little creamy and a little woody, this smoke hit the spot! Solid medium smoke and I would give it a two thumbs up!

i enjoyed this dark coffee taste from this nub. great light and the cigar was very tightly wrapped. burn time 55 min. great cigar for the day time…. if i had to compare to another cigar it would be like gurkah ghost
Nick Smart –
Good looking and well constructed cigar. Smooth with a decent steady durn.. A slightly tight draw was the only disappointing element. Went well with my pint of beer. Of course any review is subjective but I would definitely smoke this again. Cheers!

For under $7, this is worth a shot. It’s not a life-changer, but a great addition to the humidor for a leisurely afternoon smoke.

Good medium cigar that got a little stronger at the end. Had a little pepper but not overwhelming. Thick white smoke clouds with every puff. Nice smooth draw with an even burn.

Draw of far too tight. The flavor of fine.

Though the CD was flavorless, the natural sweetness of the cap and the creaminess of the thick smoke on first light was a treat. Though mild, with just a bit of white pepper, the flavor was full throughout. Toward the band, I began to pick up some hickory. The RH turned from cedar to nutty toward the end of my 50 minute smoke. Though short, the tighter draw had this cigar last longer than I expected. Balanced throughout, I recommend this one for anyone wanting to try something mid-strength. Full in flavor, a keeper.

One of my first cigars and I loved it. Very smooth and tasted great. Highly recommend for beginners.

Today I smoked the nub Habano, and it kicks off with flavor from the light, although it is a light body with a slightly creamy smoke. Light cashew. It will pick up a white Pepper just a tad in the second. Not very complex, doesn’t transition with any real changes. Lots of smoke output. Does burn slowly. Very firm feel. Slightly bitter in the final. I think the $8 price isn’t really justified. Low strength. My score, 86.
