“This bold, full-bodied offering represents the marriage of rich volcanic soil and profound aging techniques to achieve unmatched strength and refinement. Dressed in Ecuadoran Habano ligero and blended with rare tobaccos including twelve-year aged Nicaraguan Ometepe, ten-year aged Honduran Jamastran and five-year-aged Nicaraguan Esteli, Macanudo Inspirado Red is bound with hearty Nicaraguan Jalapa. Enticing notes of pepper and spice reign, transcending the experience of Central American tobaccos to the point of sublime.” From the website of Macanudo.

Not your classic mild Macanudo. They ramped up the spice and flavor but it’s still the Macanudo quality with medium to full body, decent flavor. Had very good construction, nice draw, and good burn. and solid ash.

I really like the Inspirado line so I had to try the red. I prefer medium with not pepper but this stick was very good. Dark fruit with red pepper. Pick up a little cedar and spice. The pepper got stronger in the final third. All around very good. No burn issues and a smooth draw.

Thought this was a medium cigar. Great taste, smoke output and barely had to relight.
