Six cigars. One visionary blender. And a lineup that covers every corner of what Litto Gomez has built at Tabacalera La Flor in Santiago. The Andalusian Bull Variety Sampler is an LFD collector’s dream, anchored by one of the most sought-after and limited cigars in the entire portfolio.
The Andalusian Bull leads the charge, Litto’s personal tribute to his Spanish roots and one of the rarest smokes in the LFD catalog, a full-bodied Dominican powerhouse that commands attention from the first cut to the final nub. The Oro Natural and Oro Maduro No. 6 put the same 6 x 54 format to work in two very different directions, both built on Dominican binder and filler from Litto’s La Canela farm and wrapped in Nicaraguan Habano Sun Grown leaf from the upper primings of the plant, delivering spice, coffee, leather, and floral complexity in natural and dark maduro expressions. The Ligero Oscuro L500 Cabinet brings the biggest ring gauge in the sampler with its massive 60-ring Gordo, wrapped in a naturally darkened Ecuadorian Sumatra Oscuro leaf over Dominican La Canela filler for a full-body experience of wood, dark fruit, and creamy spice that earns its 90-rating start to finish.
The Colorado Oscuro No. 5 matches it ring for ring in the same 5.75 x 60 format, built with Ecuadorian Sumatra Ligero on the wrapper, Dominican Sumatra on the binder, and Dominican and Nicaraguan filler underneath, opening with floral mocha sweetness and building through espresso and leather to a long, savory finish. And the newly reworked Suave Maximo closes it out on a completely different note, a reimagined classic that honors LFD’s original 1994 blend with an Ecuadorian Corojo wrapper, San Andrés binder, and Criollo ’99 Dominican fillers — mild to medium in strength but full in flavor. Six expressions of one man’s life’s work.
