Antaño in Spanish means ‘Yesteryear’, a word that perfectly expresses the soul of the Joya de Nicaragua Antaño. It was released over 15 years ago as a tribute to the power and the essence of the “The True Nicaraguan Puro” that made Joya de Nicaragua the most sought after cigar in the United States in the 1970’s during the post Cuban embargo. If you want a robusto yet smooth chocolaty flavor, then let the Antaño take your taste buds for a powerful ride!

Interesting cigar to say the least. First off extremely densely packed filler. Very slow burning smoke. One of those toro sizes that you want to commit a good amount of time to. Secondly, the flavor are deep and very rich. Peppery, rich sweet earthyness, some cinnamon, and once you settle into the first 3rd, one of the few cigars I get a rotating note of sarsaparilla and cola notes with. That alone is what I find unique with this cigar. Criminally underrated in my opinion.
