The Espinosa Murcielago Echo-Hale is a Cigars Daily Edition collaborations with Erik Espinosa. The idea behind the blend was born from Tim Swanson’s passion for Dark Sumatra wrapper leaf. Together Tim, Erik and AJ Fernandez reimagined the highly popular Murcielago blend to include a new experience with voluminous flavor that expands the complexity of the original.
The name, Echo-Hale, brings together the notion of the retro-hale (the heartbeat of flavor complexity), and the echo – how bats see the world. However the flavor in this cigar also echo’s across the palate. On the box, the words ‘sense everything’ are an invitation to dive into a deep and wide flavor that will capture your taste buds in a new way.

Such an amazing cigar, very complex cigar and flavor profile had something special to offer on every third. Full strength in my opinion and loved every minute of it. The Echo-Hale will definitely be a permanent cigar in my humidor and currently one of my favorites for sure!

Not disappointed. Excellent stick! Not as strong as I thought. Nice coffee bean finish. Perfect spice on the retro. Will be buying a box.

FIRST THIRD
Rich maduro Sumatra wrapper. Smoke at 61%RH. Starts with rich dark chocolate and nuttiness. Soon a cocoa note takes over. Subtle sweetness as undertone. Retrohale is baking spice. Strong at first but then settles with cocoa joining in. Flavor is medium with nice complexity. Strength is medium plus. Body is medium-full with creamy white smoke texture. Excellent construction. Smoke pours out as I like. Thick chunky ash.
SECOND THIRD
Starts with dark chocolate and floral notes. Retrohale is cocoa. Subtle sweetness as undertone with hint of cocoa. Earthiness and cedar nuances take over. Retrohale remains cocoa with hints of dried fruit. Sweetness disappeared. Flavor profile medium plus. Strength Medium full. Body medium full with creamy smoke texture. Construction flawless. Ash is thick and chunky. Complexity nice and interesting. Long clean finish.
FINAL THIRD
Wood, nuts and earth are primary notes. Retrohale is cocoa. Tobacco undertone. Flavor medium minus. Strength medium. Body medium plus. Complexity lacks at finish. construction is flawless.
Good pleasurable smoking experience. Overall a great cigar. New Cigars Daily Edition favorite!

I am literally depressed writing this… Being a long time fan, viewer and customer of Cigars Daily, buying 99% of my cigars from them and learning so much from the youtube channel I am floored at how bad this cigar is. From the lack of flavor from the start to the transition of literal grossness once you get about half way through the stick. Even the damn band is the cheapest thing ive ever seen on a cigar, ripping into layers like cheap paper when you try to pull it off….. $12.50 price point???? Yea im beyond disappointed in this absolute cash grab. Just because you have a great following doesnt give you the right to take advantage of your fans trust. This is 6 -7 dollar cigar at best… Really really disheartened here, Tim….

Really enjoyed this one and will definitely be buying more in the future. Smooth and flavorful and smoked it down to the nub.

Light up was strong. But mellowed out a bunch and was an absolute joy to smoke. Great job on this one!

Buy 5, let them rest, smoke and enjoy!
Only complaint is the band is basic. I was hoping for some embossed sparkle to match the tremendous smoking experience this cigar produces.

I can tell this is a great smoke, all the comments on the flavors that you see are spot on, but as a Noob to Cigars, this is far to strong and long for a Noob. 50 minutes and I still had 1/2 the cigar left and the nic was hitting me already at a 1/2 hour. Noobs beware. Work your way up to this when you’re a seasoned veteran and can really appreciate it.

Another absolute home run from the CD Daily Editions. This cigar was smooth all the way through. Great construction and burn, as well a consistent flavor. Got
some pepper, cocoa, earthy notes. Looking forward to more of these in the future.

This is a fantastic smoke! Dark, Balanced and incredibly smooth! I like it better than the original Murcielago.

What a great smoke, complexity of spice and cocoa, love the retro of this cigar, all the way through the end. To bad this cigar is not nationalized, cause everyone should have the opportunity to walk into there local B&M shop to get one.

The Echo Hale did not disappoint. Not sure if I had a little post nasal drip prior smoking the cigar in the pool after a busy weekend on Sunday, but I found it to be a spice bomb ! Has a lot pepper laying back on the throat. I have some more to try on yet another evening to see if I get that consistency. But another great Daily Edition !

An interesting variation on the original. While I do prefer the original, this was tasty. I’m saving the other for a while to see if some age will change things and maybe improve it even more. As usual, shipping was lightening fast. Thank you!

I was there at the convention to be amongst a few hundred people to be the FIRST in the general public to try out this new cigar. What a privilege that was and what a great cigar this is. Easily 5 stars and it’s hard to justify anything lower in my opinion.
