The El Rey Del Mundo Shade Grown is a new take on the classic Connecticut blend. This interesting new cigar features a Honduran grown Connecticut wrapper form the Talanga Valley, over a Honduran Jamastran binder with fillers from Honduras’ regions of Copan and Jamastran. It’s an all Honduran Shade grown flavor bomb. The cigar features a mild – medium strength that spills rich flavor notes of cedar, earth, sweetness, and a zesty kick of citrus. It’s not your ‘everyday’ shade blend, and it brings some a new dynamic to the world of Connecticut cigars.

Overall solid cigar, bought a box and did have some construction issues on some with cracks on a handful but nice paired with coffee in the morning and night, creamy cigar with nice toast, very mellow

Overall this was a good Cigar, it had some spice but was creamy almost the whole way through.

It was an excellent tasting cigar, but I should have left it to settle in my humidor. I smoked one right out of the package, and the wrapper seemed dry. I live in Colorado and summer dry air probably didn’t help. It had great flavor for the next step above Oliva CT, but I found myself having to carefully handle it. It is sitting in my tupperdor with 65% Bovedas for almost 2 weeks and I expect they will be just fine! The flavor of the one I battled with was creamy with choco/coffee notes that made me think of cappucino. Look forward to my next one.
