Nice and mild, it takes around an hour and a half for me to smoke. It has a sweeter taste when compared to Maduro cigars (but that’s to be expected since it is a Connecticut). Creates nice ash and is longer than its counterpart.

Just wonderful. It has a velvety smooth wrapper, sweet, with a spicy retrohale. Paired with a spicy rye whiskey, it makes for a blissful evening smoke after eating.

I was at a cigar bar recently, and I asked the bartender to surprise me with a connecticut shade wrapper that I haven’t tried. He came back with this cigar, and it didn’t disappoint in the slightest. A very good smoke with cream and cedar notes throughout. It has a spice to it, but it doesn’t over power the cigar at all. This has got me trying several several cigars in the E.P. Carrillo line, and I’m yet to find one that I don’t like.

What a great surprise for a Connecticut wrapper that I usually stay away from but I wanted to diversify my humidor. I decided on EPCarrillo for his legendary experience with quality and high ratings for their other cigars. I smoked one right out of the box and it had a mild sweetness with a surprising medium strength – a great counter to my usual medium-full cigars. The draw and construction were perfect.
This may lead to more EPCarrillo boxes.
