The Sin Compromiso is a complex but very smooth cigar with a lot to offer, flavor wise. Spice on the forefront with subtle notes of cocoa, espresso, and a touch of smokey flavor. There’s a reason it’s called Sin Compromiso (without compromise). If you’re looking for a cigar that’s been hand crafted with absolute attention to detail at every level, this blend is your new friend.

The only real issue I had with it is a slight burn issue. It was running on one side, but I’m not sure if it’s because it’s box-pressed, because I lit it weird, or if it’s actually a problem in the construction. After a minor correction, it continued to burn true. The flavors and strength were there, almost from the beginning of this shorter smoke.

Very good cigar. Got espresso, come coffee, with a bit of semi sweet chocolate. The only thing is @ 16-18 bucks, there are many other cigars I would pick up before this one, in the $12-$14 range. But you should try it at least once.

As someone just dipping their toes into the smoky waters of the cigar world, I won’t pretend to be a seasoned aficionado. I don’t know my wrappers from my binders, and I still think “retrohale” sounds like a yoga pose. But let me tell you—this Dunbarton Sin Compromiso No. 4? If I were on my deathbed, this is the cigar I’d want in my hand.
This cigar is so good, it’s become my go-to birthday gift. Forget socks or gift cards—everyone gets a Sin Compromiso now. It’s like handing someone a velvet robe for their taste buds.
Ordering through Cigars Daily is smoother than the draw on this stick. Their site is easy to navigate, checkout is a breeze, and if you’re gifting, you can drop-ship it straight to your lucky recipient. It’s like Amazon Prime, but for people who appreciate the finer things in life… like smoke that tastes like a hug from a wise old wizard.
In short: I may be a rookie, but this cigar made me feel like a king. Or at least a duke. Highly recommend—no compromise necessary.

In the 1st 3rd, I’m still getting that mild spice that’s more of a warming sensation on the palate. For flavor notes, I have earth and expresso as the main note with some cocoa as well, with a touch of sweetness on the wrapper. This is a very complex cigar to say the least.
Jumping into that 2nd 3rd, I have a great balance of flavor notes with the earthiness, cocoa, and expresso blending very well together which is creating a great experience. No flavor is overpowering the other and is very enjoyable. As the 2nd 3rd comes to a close I haven’t lost any flavor with all notes staying consistent.
In the final 3rd, I did have some bitterness that I had to purge to help clean up that flavor which for the most part did help. At this point I have more expresso and earth than anything with that cocoa fading away. No other flavor notes at this point .
Final notes. I got a good amount of flavor notes that were really enjoyable and development very well together. The spice and pepper were very mild and it was just enough to give that warm sensation on the palate. The cigar gave me a really good experience which is something I look forward to in a cigar. The burn was rough and did need some touch-ups along the way. The draw started out well but did tighten up as part way through the final 3rd. Overall I would buy this cigar again but the price point makes it tough to put it in my rotation on a week to week basis.
