Blue Cheese By AJ Fernandez Toro (6×52)
$11.00 – $198.00
AJ Fernandez kicks off production at his new Tabacalera Annex with this rich oily Nicaraguan Puro. Crafted in conjunction with Privada Cigar Club, the Blue Cheese pokes fun at the $100 bill. While lots of brands are releasing actual $100 cigar, AJ and Privada have crafted a cigar with $100 in quality at a daily smoke price. If you want to treat your palate to superior flavor without dropping a c-note, the Blue Cheese is the blend for you.

Was a good smoke but the tobacco was a bit overpowering vs other Cigars I have had.

Firstly, I have never smoked a cigar from AJ Fernandez that wasn’t amazing! This blend is no different. Straight medium body with impeccable, construction and burn. The main theme here is cedar and nuts. Straight medium bodied and medium strength blend with a ton of complexity and flavor. This is also a slow burner and another reason why this is a box worthy cigar. I recommend.

When I diet the keto breath spoils the flavor of almost all cigars for me. Anything by AJ Fernandez always is the exception. The stronger blends like Diesel Esteli Puro or the Karen Berger 25th Anniversary hold up very well. In line with that sentiment I would add the Blue Cheese blend albeit I have to rate it as a medium blend. Burns even. No touch ups. Pulls good. Healthy give. Plenty of smoke. Ash holds fair enough. Nice band. Smooth retro in line with the overall flavor profile. It’s hard to pin down the flavor profile because I’ve never had blue cheese (food) but the unusual flavor is pepper, oak, leather, and caramel rounding it out. On the Privada Club website they list citrus. I despise citrus 99% of the time. If citrus is in the flavor profile it’s not registering with my palate. Weighed up against my favorite AJ Fernandez blends the flavor is smooth and medium bodied to my palate. The more I smoke this blend the more I appreciate its smooth profile. I will definitely add a few to my weekly rotation.

Not sure why the other guy gave these a 3 star. These are a phenomenal cigar and it’s a privilege to be able to purchase them from cigars daily at an excellent price.

This cigar being an AJ sounded interesting, so I tried a 5 pack, exceeded my expectations as it was creamy and smooth with a perfect burn and draw. I therefore just ordered a box. Just might be a new favorite.
