The AJ Fernandez New World Dorado is the newest addition to AJ’s line of wildly flavorful New World blends. This blend features absolute top priming tobaccos from the AJ Fernandez Dorado farm, which he aptly named due to it’s golden texture and taste. A lot of espresso and cocoa with a little leather throughout. A nice coffee note picks up in the final third. No construction issues. Great cigar all around.

Today, I’m smoking the Spanish gold from Aj Fernandez called the new world dorado, and here’s the run down. Right off the light there’s a hard core nasal burn. In the draw there’s cinnamon, and pepper, it’s woodsy, with a sweet wrapper. I’m tasting vanilla sometimes. It has a good smoke output and seemingly good construction. Medium strength. The after taste is sweet cinnamon and a bit syrupy. Long finish. This would make a good ice cream flavor. Nice big sunset type of band. There’s some leather and nuttiness. Thick chewy smoke. It’s nicely balanced. Maybe a slight cedar. It’s earthy. There’s coco. This is very tasty. Full flavor. I think any smoker could enjoy this one, weather you like dark or light cigars this is somewhere in the middle ground. Definitely has complexity. I’m going to go ahead and say that this is a must try. In a few draws it’s slightly salty, but In a good way that adds something nice to the flavor profile. Like salting a steak. Here in the second there’s a charred fresh bread note. Nutty with a cedar fade to it. The retro hale has added a leather flavor and has smoothed out to a white pepper. Theres a creaminess that’s come into the profile. I’m just starting to try the new world blends and I must say, I’ve been impressed. A little red pepper flakes on the tongue. In the final third the flavors fade a bit and the strength is medium plus. Overall it’s a really flavorful cigar. My score on this came out to a 92.

First third: aww this is nice. Sweet cinnamon infused coffee. Calming vibes all around.
Second third: oOoooo getting toasty now, keeping me warm on this cold winter day. “Roasted chestnuts on an open fire.” What a time to be alive.
Final third: AHHHHH sweet mother! Hot burning fire! My lips have been set ablaze with spice! Ring the alarm!
Loved it. 10 outta 10. Happy New Year!

One of the best AJ cigars of the past several years. Classic AJ spice but nothing overwhelming. Notes of coffee, cedar and nuts. Draw was 8/10 and the burn was even throughout. Would recommend.

First off, I prefer my sticks in the medium to medium-full range. My tops favorite cigars are the Sobremesa Blue, Joya Numero Uno, and Oliva Melanio. But I like the branch out just to expand my palate. With that being said, the New World Dorado is a solid smoke! Distinct cedar wood notes and a syrupy sweetness that lingers on the finish! In my opinion not a punch in the face bold cigar. As far as the nicotine strength, on the stronger side. I smoke 2-4 sticks a month and it was tolerable on an empty stomach. But this is a cigar a definitely recommend!

This thing is a flavor bomb. The smoke hits all parts of the palate and is truly satiating. I got notes of toffee, cinnamon, pepper, medium roast coffee with cream, and nuts all with great wrapper sweetness. Highly recommend if you want big flavor.

I am writing this review on a cigar. It is first time I’ve had an El Dorado but it won’t be the last. This thing was awesome. One of the best cigars I’ve had in quite well. Don’t know why it took me so long to smoke. It. Had a great burn. Only had to touch up once and a final third. Starts out with a great draw and held on to the ash halfway through the cigar and I was not trying to keep it on. Started out a little spicy to me. It was more like a fireball that I used to have when I was kid, which I loved. Leather notes and chocolate. Chocolate came really through and the final third along with toasted almond and a leather held through all the way. It was even nubstick approved which I only use on a few cigars. I will keep this in my humidor this is really boxworthy to me. I am a female smoker and this would be great for other women to try out. If they’d like to try a little stronger cigar that is not infused. Would have given it five stars but had to touch it up twice at the end. Other than that I really could not find anything wrong with this cigar. AJ, you’re a miracle worker. Keep it up.
