“Full-bodied & SPICY!”.– I could leave it at that and it would have all you full strength cigar lovers, chomping at the bit, to buy a bunch of these sticks. I absolutely love the spice from AJ Fernandez cigars! This one is the spiciest I have had thus far. Now don’t think you cant enjoy it, if you are used to medium bodied cigars, because you absolutely can. For me, the cedar has a cooling effect trough the retro-hale, which, seemed to tame the spice I got from the cinnamon & pepper, and I experienced a nice, silky vanilla, at the end of the final 3rd. Please try this cigar.

Update: Smoke this one slow, and it will treat you right, all the way to your finger tips. I was gifted a few of these, and all three gave me the same wonderful experience. Each time the enclave gave me an hour and 35 minutes, without ever becoming too hot or bitter at the final 3rd. I smoke slow though, and that is why I think I get to enjoy that very subtle vanilla at the very end. Okay, now go to Cigars Daily and fill your cart with some of these! GO! NOW!

Smoked my fourth cigar of the day. I closed my eyes, shuffled through my humidor and picked out the AJ Fernandez enclave toro. Nice solid fell, looks double capped, dark brown wrapper with tiny veins and tight seams. The “Cut and a light” kicked off some black pepper and leather. There’s also black coffee with a fruity sweetness, a light spice on the tongue. A faint darkened chocolate note. Somewhat woodsy on the finish with a floral after taste. The retro hale is very much black pepper. Into the second third, I got some dark roasted coffee, slightly earthy, with toasted leather. I want to say a very slight coco in the after draw. The draw itself has been good, it held a two inch toothy ash, very light grey. Medium body and the strength has picked up a little. Full flavor. The retro has gained a wood note with the lightened pepper. These a little cedar on the pallet. Slightly oily. It’s a dark flavor cigar, sorta strong, medium plus body. In the final third, the flavor profile is darker and stronger, it’s full body. More spice In the retro hale. The coffee has faded. There’s a sweetened cream foam flavor. This cigar is nice. I think it punches above its pay grade. My smoke time was one hour and thirty minutes. And I’m going to say it was around 89 points.

Beautiful construction, but I didn’t enjoy this one too much. Not a bad smoke, just not for me.
