The Elenor Rose was originally produced as an exclusive blend for a private cigar club; it is now available for the public to enjoy through select retailers. Crafted using 7-year old tobaccos from the Jalapa Valley, Esteli, Ecuador and Pennsylvania, the Elenor Rose is the newest addition to the line of boutique Serino cigars. This blend is a smooth and silky smoke, with flavors of pepper, cream, wood, and floral undertones. Get your hands on this small-batch gem today, and experience the rich flavors Serino has to offer!

I liked this one, but it’s not really my taste. I give it 5 stars because construction was great and it was a very smooth smoke.

I have purchased 4 boxes of this little cigar (the lady: 5.75 x 48), which is testament to how much this cigar zings to me. It’s cubanesque: so you’ve got something that’s akin to a bolivar corona junior but slightly less twang (citrus zing, floral notes, easy retrohale, medium). It’s less caramely than the filthy viking, which has a heavier mouth feel. But this lady has more floral components than the viking. And then there’s a tinge of the pennsylvania broadleaf filler: which to me is why i resonate with the Elenor Rose. It’s got a certain je nais se qua about it that, if you love penn broadleaf, you love the tabernacle, the quickdraw penn, and probably most other broadleaf maduros. But this is why the elenor rose is my jam. I’d order it in cabinets of 50 if I could.

What did I just smoke? Certainly do not remember spending 20 dollars on this cigar, or it having a Dunbarton band on it.
Yet this stooge smoked like some of the better ones I’ve ever had. This thing absolutely punches up in terms of value, comparing to very, very good cigar brands and aged-in-humidor finds. I was thoroughly impressed with the ever present and very consistent aged quality to the smoke, an unmistakable “antique sweetness” in the aroma, as I define it. Incredibly complex and nuanced. There weren’t many transitions in this cigar, after the first 6th it became what it was, and stayed that way till the thumb. Reminded me throughout of the Foundation Tabernacle (or any good aged broadleaf example), an Olive series G (in that it had very savory Maduro qualities, namely hickory), and lastly a Dunbarton Beef Stick (aged qualities for days). Flavor’s that put this cigar on its own level though were red tootsie pop, and root beer that were evident from the first third, to the thumb. Would rate a 94. burn and construction were immaculate.
It should be noted that the foot of this cigar was at a humidity reading of 65 upon smoking, which is right where I like it given the climate that I’m in (Mediterranean). Seems like the latest batch of stooges that I received from Cigars Daily were on the “dry” side (relative to straight from humidor conditions). Perfect for me as the last few that I smoked were absolute money.
