601 Blue Label Maduro Toro (6.2×54)
$10.53 – $188.52
This cigar received a 94-point rating & was Cigar Aficionado’s #6 cigar of the year in 2009. “A thick, box-pressed cigar with a triple-seam cap and dark, clean wrapper. The substantial draw layers the palate with a chewy, complex smoke full of dark-roasted espresso bean flavors, touches of almond, and caramel.”

The 601 blue label got more points from cigar aficionados than the green oscuro did, however I really enjoyed the green far more than the blue Maduro. The blue label has soft muted flavors of almond and leather with a sweetened smoke. It’s medium body and strength, with a good draw. The one I smoked needed a lot of touch ups to its crooked burn line. It does have a dark espresso coffee bean flavor like the description says in the second third. The sweet leather flavor really amplify’s as well in the retro hale which is actually pretty smooth. I myself wouldn’t give it 94 points, it would be more like 89 to me.
