Gran Habano No. 5 Corojo Maduro Gran Robusto (6×54)
$8.50 – $153.00
If you’ve already been in the cigar game for a while, you’ll be plenty familiar with Gran Habano. One of their most well-known is the Corojo No. 5 Maduro and you’ll surely know it when you see it. With an astonishingly bright red band garnishing it’s beautifully dark Corojo wrapper, you’d be hard pressed to pass this one up.

I found this cigar quite enjoyable! A total surprise for me because I went into it not expecting a lot. It’s been resting in my humidor for about a month and a half. I got the cigar in a sampler. Great draw and lots of smoke!

I honestly find this cigar incredible. Very underrated and one of my favorite cigars. I bought some a few expecting not to like them and for me, a top 5 cigar.

Enjoyed the cigar. Nothing stood out but I smoked the whole thing. Probably because I was drunk.

This cigar comes with a dark chocolatey looking oily wrapper that feels heavy and well packed. The “Cut and a light” kicks off with some pepper on the lips from the wrapper. It’s seems like a down to business type of smoke. Is has very rich flavors. The body in the first third is high low to low medium. Slightly reduced smoke output with a slightly tighter draw. There’s spice, cedar, leather, with a chocolate undertone. A very Aged cognac or sweet dark rum, and ripe banana, with a roasted nuttiness. At times the burn is a little wavy and others it’s perfectly even, a couple minor touch ups which it probably didn’t need. A sweet pepper on the retro hale. Pretty smooth. The second third has some coco mixing in. It leaves a syrupy liquor sweetness in your mouth after every puff. The ash held on for about an inch and a half, which is darkened grey in color. The nicotine is light. Full flavor, with a medium body. A slight almond every now and then in the draw. Nice deep, well pronounced flavors. Every few puffs you’ll get a chocolate flavor in the draw. This is a cigar you’re going to want to smoke evenly, it has tried to go out but if you over puff, it’s ruins the flavor profile. Towards the end of the second third I’m still getting a sweet very ripe banana but the rum sweetness has fallen off. White pepper retro hale. This is a very interesting cigar, with a rare flavor profile. I would give this cigar a 90 rating.

I love cuban seed wrappers(criollo and corojo). If you do too you will really enjoy this smoke. It has a slight burn issue in the first third which took some points away but other than that there wasnt much to complain about. Massive ash and consistent flavor
