From Gran Habano’s website: The Rico family history in tobacco stretches back to 1920, when Guillermo Rico’s grandfather began growing dark tobacco. His father succeeded him in 1946, and Guillermo recalls following him around the fields as a child and his mother rolling cigars at home. That legacy continues today in Gran Habano with a strong sense of family tradition embedded into every cigar made in Danlí, Honduras, where in 1998 the factory was established and became the birthplace of our premium cigars and the quintessential Gran Habano look.

Yeah, I was definitely sending clear smoke signals into the heavens with this one.
Very conservative presentation, nice band, nice wrapper, well constructed.
Smoke time 1h10mins. I found this to be light with no peppering, just smooth and just a hint of caramel goodness.
Of what little peppering that occurred at the last third, it mellowed out back to smooth, thick but light smoke.
The ash was more white and fluffy than some others priced higher than this Gran Habano.
Yes, just yes – only half my luck that I paired it with 1800 anejo tequila.

Nice, smooth smoke. I had to touch it up quite a bit to keep it burning straight. But, thoroughly enjoyed this one. I’ll definitely purchase this one again.

It smelled like feet before lighting. Draw was good. Burn was good. Moldy, mildewy, bitter taste.
