From Gran Habano’s website: The Rico family history in tobacco stretches back to 1920, when Guillermo Rico’s grandfather began growing dark tobacco. His father succeeded him in 1946, and Guillermo recalls following him around the fields as a child and his mother rolling cigars at home. That legacy continues today in Gran Habano with a strong sense of family tradition embedded into every cigar made in Danlí, Honduras, where in 1998 the factory was established and became the birthplace of our premium cigars and the quintessential Gran Habano look.

Very loose draw with massive, thick smoke output.
Smooth creamy mouth feel with little to no pepper on retro.
Toasted nuts and cedar with some herbal notes and spices.
Very oily on the lips.
The Second third has Slightly more pepper but remains a smooth experience overall with predominantly cedar and spice flavors. No strength kick and all flavor.
Enjoyable smoke and one of my favorites in the Gran Habano line along with the Blue in Green.

I think I may be a little crazy on one of the tasting notes. Like most I got cedar on the retro. I got notes of earth (depending on humidity and age), caramel (same as previous note, and as for the crazy note I get vanilla covered almonds. If the humidity is just right and the cigars are rested for a while I get that crazy note from them. I’ve had several so humidity is a factor to that one. Dryer around 65% I get more earth. 70% and well rested I get a vanilla covered almonds note.
