a quote from Alan Ruben on AlecBradley.com, “I was inspired by a conversation with my Dad; reminiscing about the simpler times of yesteryear. During our chat, he spoke about the types of cigars that he and his buddies once smoked. Back in my Dad’s day, cigars were flavorful and hearty – yet, smooth on the palate. I went to the factory and blended a cigar to be smoked any time of day, every day. That cigar is American Classic.”

The blender’s goal was to create a hearty smoke rich in flavor without overwhelming the palette. All I can say is objective achieved. Really enjoyed this rich creamy smoke after a nice lunch today. This little robusto performed extremely well the whole hour and forty minutes my smoke lasted. I’m usually done with robustos in about 70-80 minutes. This one burns slowly and it was beautiful.

I thought this was an “ok” smoke. Definitely closer to mild than medium for me. Burned perfectly. Nice flavor profile. If you’re a daily cigar smoker, this is probably a nice cigar for you. I’m not a daily cigar guy. I smoke the occasional cigar after dinner, and/or with a whiskey so I prefer a little more “oomph” than this cigar offered. I’ll probably keep a few in my humidor to give to the occasional guest/friend.

This is one of my go to sticks. Always a great draw and burn, and enough flavor to keep me coming back.

I hope it was just the stick I smoked, but I ordered the sampler and this stick was terrible. Didn’t stay lit, the worst draw I’ve ever experienced, and the cap fell off when I cut it (I’ve never had a cap just fall off before). I keep my cigars at proper humidity and temperature so I’m assuming it had to have been just a bad stick that I received unfortunately. I gave a star back for the flavor. Before tossing it out of frustration, I was able to enjoy the nice mild flavor for the few minutes I smoked it.

This was my intro to AB, and I have to say it was a good one. I really enjoyed how up the middle this cigar was. Started off easy and really kicked into gear around the middle. A stick that I didn’t want to put down.

Such a nice smooth creamy cigar. A perfect morning cigar to enjoy with coffee or any time honestly. I will be buying a box of these in the future.

This would make a great first time smoke. Very mild as Connecticut’s go . And for the price it’s one of those for outworking in the yard and if you lay it down and forget it. It has a good burn a nice draw and last around 45 minutes to an hour.

Bought a box without trying, halfway thru I’m not impressed. There’s some flavor, but very “hot air” tasting for those of us that smoke regularly. Constant burning issues. I wouldn’t recommend, or buy again.
