The Judge Gran Robusto is a powerfully full blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos, and it’s size is nothing to scoff at. With a box-pressed 60 ring size, this stick produces tons of amazing flavor. It’s not only the No. 1 Cigar of 2017 in Cigar Journal. It’s also the No. 7 Cigar of 2017 in Cigar Aficionado, who noted, “It’s big. It’s bold. And it’s box-pressed…This is certainly a powerful smoke, but it isn’t just strong for the sake of being strong. There’s a purpose to its strength, and plenty of interesting flavor to justify the high-octane tobacco inside.”

My Father has a reputation for putting out blend after blend with incredible flavor. The Judge is no exception. This stick is so good that it has become the No. 1 Cigar of 2017 on Cigar Journal.

Prelight i got wonderful brownie and cocoa flavors from the foot and cold draw.
1st third was the best part of the whole cigar. Brownie, cocoa, some coffee and chocolate notes. Burn wasnt so great but no touch ups.
2nd third, thats when it started going south. Beginning of 2nd third was like the first but then the flavors fell off and became very muted. I had to touch up the burn near the end of the 2nd third.
The final third was bland. The strength really kicked up. Alittle of the coffee and chocolate notes peeked back through but nothing crazy.
Over all i was disappointed with the stick compared to the rest of the sticks i’ve had from the My Father line. Started out with great promise but died off. I most likely will not buy again.

Really love this. This cigar has some real strong flavor and I love it! The burn on this was immaculate and draw was just right. Definitely cocoa notes with a little pepper. Another great stick from My Father

This cigar in appearance, is a dark reddish brown, short fat box pressed beast. Looks like a work of art with the bands and foot band. It has thin veins and seemingly good construction. The Judge was #7 on top 25 cigar aficionados in 2017. The “Cut and a light” kicks off with some light sweetish coco and pepper spice with a hint of woodsy cinnamon. It seems medium body and flavor. It has a light white pepper and coco retro hale. The second third doesn’t change much, still a light level of nicotine and flavor profile. It has needed some touch ups so far, with a less than even burn. The final third has a more pronounced cedar wood and coffee, while the sweetness has fallen off. It has started to heat up a bit more. It’s had a good smoke output throughout however. It’s more full body now, and the peppery retro hale has increased, and I’m getting a vague berry flavor with it, and more of a sinus kick. Over all this cigar was lighter in body and flavor than I expected, smoother than I expected as well. The strength was upper medium. My smoke time was one hour and forty minutes. I would go as far as to give this cigar a 90 rating.

The Judge in 5 x 60 will always have a spot in my humidor. Awesome stick with a great burn line. I love the progression of strength.

The Judge in 5×60 is my favorite rainy day smoke. Yes, smoking on a rainy day is awesome…especially with The Judge.

A perfect cigar.
Sweet and strong. Chocolate/pepper/cinnamon notes throughout. Smooth but robust on the retrohale. The Judge (both the Toro and gran robusto) have quickly become my favorite smokes.

There is a reason this cigar has gotten in the top 25 multiple times. A great smoke for any occasion.

I love the box press, I can bite it if I need to because sometimes while walking the dog you need both hands. The flavor, body and smoke aroma are full, the construction is solid and the draw is nice. I read one review where the commenter said after half of the cigar was burned he thought the flavor went south. Well, sometimes that does happen. When it does, I purge the cigar. Then things are back on track. I did have to purge this cigar, at about the 1/2 way point, then things where better. This cigar can be smoked down to the finger tips and beyond. It’s pretty good when I have to pull out the pocket tool to continue the enjoyment it brought me. I purchased a box of these and keep them in my rotation.
