A Limited Cigar Association release wrapped in packaging modeled after a 1,000 Swiss franc note, this 6×52 Toro is as bold in the humidor as it is in the hand. The wrapper is the headline: an AA+ grade Mexican San Andrés leaf, the top of the grading scale for that varietal, selected for its oil content, texture, and depth of character before a single roller ever touches it.
Underneath, a Costa Rican binder — one of the most underutilized tobacco origins in premium cigars — adds a distinctive smoothness and complexity that you simply don’t find in Nicaraguan or Mexican binder cigars. The three-region Nicaraguan filler of Estelí, Condega, and Jalapa gives the blend its backbone: deep earth, leather, dark spice, and a natural sweetness from the San Andrés that builds across a long, satisfying burn. CigarsDaily ships fast with a boveda inside. WIlling to take a risk on this one as has Jalapa as part of the filler, and I’ve heard good things about Costa Rican tabacco. Generally I find you can’t go wrong with AJ. Hard to find this one online at the main retaliers. I’m hoping I don’t like, as don’t want to have to buy a box LOL!
