Diesel Hair of the Dog isn’t just limited. It’s gone. Or at least, it was. This release has been out of production for years, quietly slipping into Diesel lore as one of those blends people talk about but stop expecting to ever see again. Until now.
What you’re getting here is the last of the Hair of the Dog you were able to secure—original, cellophaned 5-packs, preserved exactly as they were meant to be smoked. No reboots. No “new blend, same name.” Just the real thing, pulled from deep storage and put back on the shelf.
Flavor-wise, this cigar is classic Diesel attitude: dark, hearty, and unapologetic—think earth, espresso, charred oak, and a gritty spice that keeps it honest. This is for smokers who like their cigars with backbone, especially when the palate needs a reset.
This is one of those rare moments where “limited” actually means finite. When these are gone, the conversation ends again.

Just enjoyed my 5 sampler pack. Smoked 2 of the 5. A great smooth to the finished. Never lost its flavor from the first to the last. Buy them before they are gone. You won’t regret them.

I was recommended this by son in law. He’s a good just with similar taste, and he wasn’t wrong. I bought a 5-pack and regret that I told him I would give him a couple.
The structure is very solid, huge fan of box pressed, with easy draw on a punch. It burned very raven with minor touch up in 2nd third. I did get very smooth earthiness and woody throughout with a white pepper before it smoothed out.
Would love to have more.
