The Obrigado was our first exclusive blend release (May, 2018). Obrigado is a Portugese word meaning ‘much obliged’, and it’s our way of thanking everyone who helped make Cigars Daily an overnight success. Now, for a limited time, you can get this Obrigado Short Run with a 5 year aged dark Habano wrapper. We only made 1900 sticks, and focused on crafting a true short run experience with superior flavor in a convenient 5.5×44 vitola.

As the Cigars Daily Exclusive brands (i.e. Liga Zebra, Liga Muerte, Rico Barato, Box-Pressed Rebellion, etc.) have grown like a weed in popularity, we went back to the drawing board to release our first exclusive blend. We searched high and low for top quality in tobacco, construction, and flavor. The Obrigado is the result of our search. This dark Habano wrapped blend comes with fillers from both Aganorsa Leaf and Oliva Tobacco (who provides leaf for brands like La Flor Dominicana, Rocky Patel, and Perdomo). The result of these quality tobaccos is a rich medium-full bodied blend with mouthwatering notes of wood, leather, and dark chocolate.

The name, Obrigado, is a Portuguese word that simply translates as “much obliged”. We picked it because this blend is our way of thanking you for making Cigars Daily such a success. It is our deep and distinguished privilege to serve your cigar needs, and we look forward to doing so long into the future.

    Very good medium bodied stick.
Started off peppery in the first third, then mellowed out in the second and final thirds. Has a light amount of sweetness to it throughout the stick. Had a sharp burn through most of it, I had to touch it up once or twice, but no biggie. Held ash well, only fell off once in first and second third. I will be recommending these and purchasing more before their gone! Great job Tim!!

Great stick guys! I was truly impressed. Great black and white pepper spice that compliments a slight tobacco sweetness and a bit of leather. 2nd edition needs to be a 6×46!

This is one of the best cigars I’ve had. I’m new to cigar smoking with only 4 to 5 months but I’ve been trying everything I can. ( One a day for 5 months and a different cigar everyday) I have yet to buy more than one of the same cigar as nothing has totally blown me away. I mean there are great blends but I’ve never had the feeling of I need to get that again. Tried this today and I was literally blown away. I LOVED the flavor of this cigar. I thought oh man it’s nicaraguan tobacco which I don’t like from my experiences but this shows me how much blends can be different from the same region. I am blown away that a cigar for this price is so good. I would think it’s a $15 to $20 cigar if I didn’t know the price. No more boxes available so I had to get two 12 pack bundles. My first same cigar purchase and I couldn’t be more excited. I’ll be on the lookout for more obrigado releases

I ordered 2 of these, and I’m smoking my last one as I write this. The first third has a decent amount of black pepper and cayenne, with some nutty flavors that linger. The finish is fairly long. The second third is starting with the cayenne still there but not as strong and the black pepper has disappeared, still getting a nutty flavor but getting a cedar flavor mixed with it. The ash had held on almost to the halfway point. Getting some leathery flavors in the second third now. I have to say this thing is a cloud maker on the smoke output. In the final third I still have the cayenne, and nutty flavors, hints of cedar are there and the finish is still long and savory. It’s a nub burner for sure. Smoked it down to where my fingers were getting burned and it burned my lips. Over all I rate this as a 92. I hope more are released. I would describe this as a cross between a fuente 858 and an Alec Bradley Prensado. A plus.

Had a great time visiting with my dad and took two of these and we both loved them. Great draw, even burn on both the whole way, and dad tried to see how much ash he could get and was nearly to the band before it fell off. Will be buying more of these for our family, thanks Tim!
