Flavor, burn, and draw were all excellent leading up to about halfway. When I took the band off, glue stuck to the wrapper and pulled it off. Quite disappointing.

I just finished my first one. Burn and draw were all good to excellent. Flavor was smooth with a nice cedar taste. Ash was fantastic and fell off twice all the way down to the very knob! If you’re looking for a smooth easy smoke this is a stick for you. First cigar that I didn’t want to end in a long time!

I am new to the cigar scene. Not a cigarette smoker either. I have been researching the history of this craft for quite a while have built a nice collection. I have my main humidor where I store my starting line up and I have a secondary for those that are “riding the bench”. I made the unfortunate mistake of putting this cigar in the secondary. Everything about this cigar is excellent. If you need a morning stick with coffee this is it. I am beyond impressed with draw, smoke output, and flavor. Well done..

Just finished this stick over a 40 minute conversation with steady, long, draws. I am new to this pastime but at around 6 dollars a stick and the attributes of this cigar, I see many more conversations happening. The draw was smooth and consistent, dry but not “dusty” and the flavor had a woodsy note and was very non-offensive, even for a newbie like me. This stick burned evenly with a nice, medium smoke and compact ash. I give this an amateur’s thumbs up. Enjoy…

First time I have smoked a “proper” cigar. Even burn. The ash “grew” to be about 2-3cm before I knocked it off. Smoke lasted about an hour. The smell from the smoke was not unpleasant and completely different to the cheap sticks I have smoked in the distant past.
A bit of an acrid taste in the mouth. Got a buzz, a bit like having a couple of whiskeys, a shot or two of rum or a cider. Bit of a bite around my lips that lasted as long as I was smoking but gone a few minutes after I stopped smoking. My stomach felt a little “off” like it wasn’t sure that whatever just arrived was going to stay.
The taste and smell of the tabaco lingers for hours even after a shower. The taste moves to the back of the throat, fainter over time but still there. Update (next morning) – taste of the tabaco is still in the mouth and back of the throat, the morning after smoking, after having brushed my teeth yesterday and this morning. It feels like a thin coating of oil covering my tongue and the inside of my mouth.
I’ll wait and see how long it takes for the taste is gone, before smoking again.
Update 1 – So a full day since I smoked this cigar, there is still a after taste of the tabaco in my mouth and the back of my throat.
Update 2 – Finally, almost 2 days, after I smoked this cigar, the taste in my mouth and throat are gone as is the constant smell of the tabaco in my nose.
It was an interesting smoke. I have not smoked a cigar of this size before. The cigar was tightly rolled and didn’t “soften” the entire time I smoked it. I did smell and taste something, but what ever it was, it was too faint for me to nail it down. With this being my first cigar, my palate isn’t “trained” as yet as to work out what the different flavours are.
I will smoke other cigars, just not sure if I’d smoke this particular one again. I might come back to this one at a later date.

Just enough pepper in the very beginning then it mellows out. Great burn all the way down, good taste throughout. A good price for the mild stick. Will be buying more

A little bit of pepper in the retrohale. Great draw lots of smoke I was able to get through the first half and into the second half I dropped it! And the result was that it had a big split down the center as a result of me dropping it I was really heartbroken that I wasn’t able to finish this great stick. Really enjoyed the little time I had with La Galera, I will be ordering me some more.

Excellent cigar. Great burn. Great smoke output.
The flavor was consistent. The flavor had very strong notes of earth, probably the most earthy Connecticut Ive had thus far, almost a mushroomy taste. Also, smoky and creamy notes of cedar and wood. I will be ordering two more of these.

Great cigar.

Fore the price this cigar is very well constructed. The burn and draw were perfect and the flavor was quite good. The flavor for me was mostly just cedar and some hay and while I wish it had a wider profile it was still pleasurable which is why I give it 4 stars.

This cigar felt very tightly rolled, but a very loose draw. Burns well and the ash held for about an inch and a half. It’s a light tasting cigar. Can’t really say that it has any notes to it. Not my cup of coffee.
