From Gran Habano’s website: The Rico family history in tobacco stretches back to 1920, when Guillermo Rico’s grandfather began growing dark tobacco. His father succeeded him in 1946, and Guillermo recalls following him around the fields as a child and his mother rolling cigars at home. That legacy continues today in Gran Habano with a strong sense of family tradition embedded into every cigar made in Danlí, Honduras, where in 1998 the factory was established and became the birthplace of our premium cigars and the quintessential Gran Habano look.
Gran Habano La Conquista La Nina (5×52)
$8.66 – $187.02
If cigars could go out dancing I’d say that this one would be dressed to the nines. Beautifully portrayed from the get-go, the La Conquista is wrapped in a Nicaraguan corojo wrapper and filled with a luxurious yet complex blend of spices, pepper, cedar, and leather. Take those two left feet and give this stick a whirl!

Great smoke, 1h10mins, light smoke body, full flavour including faint citrus and a strong wood char.
Has a very intricate band, nicely presented, good construction with an easy draw.

Tonight, I’m smoking the Gran Habano La Conquista La Niña and here’s what I’m finding. Here in the first third is a light flavor profile of earth, leather, creamy cedar, with a spicy cinnamon sweetness and a nice white pepper retro hale. There’s a slight almond nuttiness. Good construction with a pretty even burn line. Light strength, full flavor. You get some of that cinnamon in the retro hale. The band on this thing is like a work of art. There’s a nice balance of the flavors, which seems pretty consistent as I come into the second third. So far, it’s light, smooth and somewhat creamy. The white pepper has become a light black pepper now. It has a medium finish. Very smooth and leaves a syrupy oily cinnamon finish. Good draw, and smoke output. A good two inch ash. This is a nice little treat, very enjoyable. Nothing harsh about this cigar. Didn’t lose a whole lot of flavor in the final third. Overall, this is a must try. I agree with the 93 points.
